Rodney McGruder scored 22 points and Jacob Pullen added 20 as K-State muscled past No. 7 Texas 75-70 on Monday night. The Wildcats held the Longhorns 33.8 shooting, its second-lowest mark of the season.

On the other end, Kansas State shot 50 percent, the second-best performance against the Longhorns this season.

"Defensively, we had too many breakdowns," Longhorns coach Rick Barnes said. "Some breakdowns are baffling. I can't tell you why.

"We are better than we are playing" Barnes said. "And that is the biggest concern."

It was Texas' third loss in four games and first home loss in Big 12 play.
