Devoe Joseph will make his Oregon debut on Saturday against Fresno State.

Joseph transfered from Minnesota last January and is now becoming eligible.

“I had to treat it like a game, get after it and work hard every day and remind yourself, it’ll go by quick and you have to be ready when it does because it’s an opportunity,” Joseph said.

“He’s had a year off, and it takes a while to get back into the flow,” UO coach Dana Altman said. “The advantage is he’s been here a whole year so he knows our stuff ... we feel like we’ve got a pretty good feel for what he can do.”

Joseph started 25 games over two-plus seasons at Minnesota and was previously the leading scorer on the Canadian national junior team.

“I like the way Devoe plays,” Altman said. “I hope he plays as well and as unselfishly and leads as well when he’s eligible (for games) as he did when he ran the scout team (in practices). He’s been a handful.”
