Blake Ahearn and Andre Emmett of the Reno Bighorns were today named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played Dec. 26 – Jan. 1.

Ahearn, a 6-3, 190-pound guard out of Missouri State, averaged 30.0 points on 64 percent shooting to go with 5.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds, while Emmett, a 6-5, 224-pound forward out of Texas Tech, averaged 26.0 points on 67 percent shooting along with 6.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists as the Bighorns went 2-1 on the week.

Ahearn began the week with back-to-back 35-point outings as the Bighorns defeated the Idaho Stampede 120-98 on Dec. 26 and the Bakersfield Jam 139-114 on Dec. 29. In his third game of the week, he registered 20 points, four rebounds and four assists in a one-point loss, 98-99, to the Jam on Dec. 30. For the season, Ahearn is averaging 26.2 points and 7.0 assists in 39.6 minutes.

Emmitt scored a week’s high 39-points to go with eight rebounds and eight assists in the Dec. 29 outing against the Jam and returned the next night to score 29 points, pulling down five rebounds and dishing out four assists on Dec. 30. Against the Stampede, he chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds in the win on Dec. 26. On the season, Emmitt is averaging 20.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 32.4 minutes.
