Marcus Paige has been named the 11-12 Gatorade Iowa Basketball Player of the Year.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior point guard averaged 28.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game this past season, leading Linn-Mar (20-5) to the Class 4A semifinals. 

Paige has maintained a 4.07 GPA in the classroom. 

Paige will attend North Carolina this fall.
