Jamal Crawford confirmed that he will opt out of his 12-13 contract with the Blazers.

"I'm a free agent, so I'm excited about what's there moving forward," Crawford said when asked about his future. "There will be a lot of teams out there with a lot of interest. I'll sit back after July (free agency begins July 1) and see what happens."

A source told Yahoo!'s Marc J. Spears in April that Crawford intended to opt out.

Crawford signed with the Blazers last December after receiving offers from the Knicks, Wolves and Magic, among others. Crawford also was nearly dealt to the Lakers before the deadline.
