Royce White’s beard is inspired by his favorite Beatle.

"John Lennon," White said when asked if the beard he sprouted since completing his lone season at Iowa State is homage to James Harden. "Philosophically and inspirationally, I connect with him."

White also discussed his anxiety disorder, which includes an aversion to flying.

"It's not so much the flying, it's getting ready to fly," White said. "If I've got a flight at 12, from 9 to 12 I'm worrying and I've got that nervous feeling in my chest and my stomach and I may get sick. All those things are what exert the energy. When I'm on the plane, I'm not panicking."
