Mark Jackson was the victim of an extortion plot, according to a report from The Smoking Gun.

Jackson allegedly had an extramarital affair and shared photos of his genitalia with a former stripper named Alexis Adams.

Adams and her co-conspirator Marcus Shaw are accused of trying to extort a six-figure payment from Jackson in return for them not disseminating/selling the explicit photos to the “vultures of the media.”

Adams, 28, and Shaw, 40, have been named in felony criminal complaints filed under seal in U.S. District Court in Oakland, California.

The plot was foiled by the FBI with the cooperation of Jackson.

Jackson initially gave Shaw $5,000 in cash for a folder containing photographs and a CD, according to the document.

The photos were sent six years ago during an affair that lasted less than a year.

The Warriors released a statement indicating that they contacted the FBI when notified of the situation.

"Although not condoning his previous actions that led to the extortion attempt, the Warriors fully support Coach Jackson during this time and thank law enforcement authorities and the FBI for their prompt assistance in helping Coach Jackson and his family," the Warriors said, in their statement. "Due to the fact that this is an ongoing legal matter, the Warriors will have no further comment at this time."
