Gerald Green’s energy and hustle helped propel him to a career-year last season with the Nets.

Green plans to bring that same brand of basketball to the Pacers.

“I think I can add a lot of energy,” Green said. “I’ve been through a lot, so I can definitely motivate the young players and show them the ropes so they don’t make the same mistakes that I made coming into the league.

“I can definitely score the ball, I’m a very high energy player and I’m a fun guy on and off the court.”

Indiana signed Green, who averaged 12.9 points on 48 percent shooting last season, to a three-year deal.

“This was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up,” Green said after a recent workout at the team's practice facility.
