Rudy Fernandez, after four years in the NBA, is returning to Real Madrid, the team for which he played during the lockout.

“I am returning to Europe, as a member of Real Madrid, in order to be its leader,” Fernandez said. “I will bring my experience and talent in order to help my team win as many titles as possible.”

Fernandez appeared in 17 ACB League games last season. With Fernandez in the lineup, Real Madrid was 13-4.

“Last season, we performed well on the group phase of the competition,” Fernandez said. “I can’t speak about what happened next, because I left for the NBA, but for sure we want to be competitive and we want to win the title.”
