The Charlotte Bobcats have turned around their defense, giving up 89 points per game on 37 percent shooting over their last four games. During the first four games of the season, the Bobcats allowed 110 points on 50 percent shooting.

“It’s about our energy,” said forward Byron Mullens, who was never seen as a defender before this season. “And it was coach really getting on us.

“We can be really good on defense. It’s all the emphasis in practice.”
