Chicago Bulls guard Richard Hamilton had an MRI that revealed he has a torn plantar fascia in his left foot, the team announced on Sunday.

Hamilton suffered the injury late in the third quarter of the Bulls’ win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. This ailment is not considered as serious as plantar fasciitis and Hamilton could return within the next week or two, according to Sam Smith of Bulls.com.

"I felt something pop," Hamilton told reporters after Saturday’s game.

Hamilton has averaged 13.9 points and 2.3 assists in 10 games this season. Last season, Hamilton played in just 28 of 66 contests.
