DeMarcus Cousins scored just eight points on 3-for-9 shooting in the Sacramento Kings' 116-81 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, and he admits his confidence has dipped.

"I've been terrible," Cousins said bluntly but softly. "We're losing. I don't feel like I made improvements from last year. I really don't have any confidence at all."

Cousins entered the season with high expectations, hoping to make his first All-Star team and lead the Kings to the playoffs. But the Kings are just 4-12 and Cousins has regressed, averaging 16 points and 9.5 rebounds after a season in which he averaged 18.1 points and 10.9 rebounds.

"I'm just trying to think my way through it, but right now, I'm not finding anything," Cousins said.
