Jose Calderon has been a subject of trade discussions for several seasons and the clock is ticking on a potential trade from the Toronto Raptors with the point guard having an expiring contract.

“Maybe it’s going to be more than usual,” Calderon told RealGM. “It’s been usual for a while now for a few years.”

According to Calderon, his agent has not spoken with him about any potential deals to this point.

“I prefer not to,” said Calderon. “Unless if there is something he’s going to call, we’re going to talk about it. If he’s not calling, there’s a lot of things out there. He’s better just to leave it there and don’t talk about it because at the end of the day there’s nothing good, it’s just rumors.”

Calderon was asked if he could see himself leaving Toronto in the midst of his eight season with the club.

“Right now, I’ve got to say it’s like my second home,” said Calderon. “It’s been eight years now. I don’t know nothing else in the NBA. There’s not a lot of things I can compare it to, but I love it, it’s been great. The city has been great with me, its fans, the organization, so it’s been pretty good. I cannot say anything bad.”

Calderon has not made any decision where he wants to play next season and will evaluate the situation when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

“I think it’s too soon,” said Calderon. “I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know if I’m going to get traded or not because of my contract situation. Let’s see what happens when we finish the season. I think the summer is going to be the time to think about it, all the pros and cons, in every situation.”
