Vinny Del Negro believes he'll return to coach the Los Angeles Clippers next season and says that his future isn't tied to the club's postseason success.

"No, my future is great," Del Negro said. "I got a great future no matter what. I've been pretty fortunate, so I don't worry about that stuff so much. All those things take care of themselves. Wherever we finish, we're going to be prepared, we're going to be organized and we're going to play hard."

Del Negro isn't under contract past this season and the Clippers haven't discussed an extension with him.

"The expectations, sometimes, people get a little delusional in terms of how you're going to get there and what you're going to do," he said. "People get sick of the word 'process' but that's what it is. It's a long NBA season. You got to handle the injuries. You got to handle a lot of things. I feel we're in a pretty good position right now."
