Metta World Peace had fluid drained from his left knee on Monday, according to sources.

World Peace will miss Tuesday's game for the New York Knicks against the Detroit Pistons and his status for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers is uncertain.

World Peace is expected to return to game action by the end of the week.

World Peace underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in the same knee in late March.

On Monday, Mike Woodson told the media that World Peace wouldn't travel with the team to Detroit due to a death in the family. His sister died earlier this month.
