The Indiana Pacers will not have George Hill when they face the Boston Celtics on Saturday night.

Hill injured his left shoulder late against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.

"I'm trying to do all I can to help this team win a basketball game. If that's not on the court, that's being encouraging and being a positive teammate," Hill said after shootaround. "Things like that."

Hill had not been informed of the decision to sit him until Frank Vogel came over as Hill was speaking with the media.

"When I did my MRI it showed previous stuff," Hill said. "It was just the way I landed. I have pain lifting it and making certain movements. We'll take it day-by-day."

Hill previously injured his shoulder in a collision with former teammate Tyler Hansbrough, adding some certain to the injury.

"I hurt it pretty badly last year, so I think it's just a re-occurring injury that just opened back up a bit."

Hill is averaging 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Pacers this season.
