Eric Gordon will receive an examination on his left knee from his doctor in Los Angeles.

Gordon did not accompany the New Orleans Pelicans for their game against the Utah Jazz on Friday.

Gordon has missed eight consecutive games because of tendinitis in his left knee.

Monty Williams said the Pelicans had no plans to shut down Gordon for the remainder of the season. Gordon has averaged 15.4 points in 64 games this season.
