TMZ released a nine-minute recording purporting to be Donald Sterling criticizing his girlfriend for appearing in public with Black people and bringing them to "his games."

Sterling's girlfriend, who happens to be Black and Latino, posted a photo of herself with Magic Johnson on her Instagram page.

“You can sleep with [black people]," said Sterling. "You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games.”

At one point, Sterling asks her if she gets “a benefit” from associating with black people, and calls her “stupid” when she asks why the race of the people she associates with matters.

Sterling was sued in a housing discrimination lawsuit in 2006.

"We are in the process of conducting a full investigation into the audio recording obtained by TMZ," said NBA spokesman Mike Bass. "The remarks heard on the recording are disturbing and offensive, but at this time we have no further information."
