Carmelo Anthony left his meeting with the New York Knicks on Thursday feeling aligned with the vision set forth by Phil Jackson.

Anthony had direct questions for Jackson and Derek Fisher during their meeting in Los Angeles.

As one official involved in the recruiting process told Yahoo, "He just wants to feel like he's not all alone on the court."

Jackson dispelled doubts that he was indifferent about Anthony staying with the Knicks, sources said.

Anthony needed to hear that enthusiasm from Jackson, as well as the Knicks' max contract offer of $129 million over five seasons.
