LaMarcus Aldridge has agreed to sign with the San Antonio Spurs on a four-year $80 million max contract.

Aldridge chose the Spurs over the Phoenix Suns as he narrowed down his list from multiple teams. The Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets also had meetings with Aldridge.

Aldridge will have a player option for Year 4 of the deal.

Aldridge is originally from Texas and that appears to be a motivating factor in his decision to leave the Portland Trail Blazers.

"I'm happy to say I'm going home to Texas and will be a Spur!!" wrote Aldridge on Twitter. "I'm excited to join the team and be close to my family and friends."
