Kevin Love and LeBron James engaged in a "very honest" talk before he decided to re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Love said he and James met in Los Angeles shortly before free agency opened.

Love said he and James "just talked everything out and a lot of stuff was very honest and we came to a really good place and we agreed on a lot of things."

Love quickly agreed upon a five-year max contract with the Cavaliers as free agency began.

Love was an unrestricted free agent and could have left the Cavaliers or sign a one-plus-one contract to become a free agent again in 2016.
