Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks secured an agreement with DeAndre Jordan during the first Friday of free agency.

Cuban, Chandler Parsons and Dan Fegan were with Jordan at his house in Pacific Palisades when the decision was made.

Afterwards, Fegan offered to charter him a private yacht to go anywhere he wanted for the weekend. Cuban offered to fly Jordan and his family to Dallas on a private jet to celebrate.

Jordan declined both offers saying he preferred to fly back with his family to his home in Houston.

"Never in a million years did I think I had to quarantine the guy," Cuban said.

John Lucas, a father figure to Jordan, could tell something was wrong when they met up on Sunday.

Jordan first reached out to Blake Griffin on Monday about the issue he was having with his decision.

Jordan started texting and communicating his misgivings through Snapchats and direct Twitter messages with dozens of people within 24 hours of landing back in Houston. Word that he was having second thoughts started spreading around NBA summer league in Orlando and Utah and it eventually got back to Doc Rivers.
