After a recent loss by the Minnesota Timberwolves in which Andrew Wiggins and Ricky Rubio did not play, Karl-Anthony Towns was visibly frustrated in the locker room for failing alert the team's guards about incoming screens on defense.

The Wolves were given the next day off but Towns was at the team's practice facility by 9 AM.

"I work hard on my game," Towns tells ESPN.com. "I want to be the strongest player, the most intelligent player and the most skilled player on the court at all times."

Towns has been developing his offense around the basket and he'll eventually stretch out to three-point line with regularity.

"We all know I can hit 3s," Towns tells ESPN.com. "But for now, I'm taking what the defense gives me."

Towns ranks 9th in PER in his rookie season amongst all active NBA players.
