Matt Bonner re-signed with the San Antonio Spurs in the offseason on a one-year deal.

Bonner has no plans to retire.

“I’ve always planned to play as long as possible,” said Bonner. “Whether that’s for health reasons I can’t play anymore or because nobody wants me. Those are the two ways I’m going out.”

Bonner has played 11 games this season.

Bonner is 35 and in his 12th NBA season.

"I understand that I’m getting up there in age, and I’m definitely on the later part of my career, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that this is my last year, or that doesn’t mean this isn’t my last year," said Bonner. "My plan, and it was the last two years really, is get through the year, see where I’m at physically, and see if I’m good enough where someone still wants me on the team.”
