Sean Marks was reportedly offered the job of Brooklyn Nets' general manager on Tuesday, but he may not accept the job.

Mikhail Prokhorov denied that the job had been offered to anyone and even denied knowing who Marks is.

"I have never heard this name before," said Prokhorov.

Bryan Colangelo and Arturas Karnisovas were previously reported to be the other two finalists for the job.

Mike Mazzeo and Marc Stein report the San Antonio Spurs remained hopeful of convincing Marks to stay with the franchise as assistant general manager.
