Byron Scott has a "major chance" to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers as head coach next season, according to one source.

Jeanie Buss has been pushing for Scott to remain as head coach behind the scenes.

The Lakers could then make a complete reset in 2017 with the possibility of Phil Jackson running the front office and Luke Walton as head coach.
