Jeremy Lin will decline his $2.2 million player option for the 16-17 season with the Charlotte Hornets.

Lin will become an unrestricted free agent.

Lin rebounded in 15-16 with the Hornets after a series of disappointing seasons with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers.
