Draymond Green has agreed to a plea deal in the case in which he was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

Green was arrested July 10 on a misdemeanor assault and battery charge and was taken to the East Lansing jail, where he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.10 percent, police said.

Jermaine Edmondson told police that he had been "choked" the previous night by two men who were with the NBA player at a bar, and Green punched him when he tried to talk to him on that Sunday. An officer described it as a "slap."

The plea deal reduces the charge to a civil infraction, which carries a penalty of a $500 fine and $60 in jail restitution.
