Kristaps Porzingis is 0-8 in his career when Carmelo Anthony doesn't play at all and 0-3 when Anthony is ejected. On Wednesday, Porzingis closed out a victory for the Knicks without the help of Anthony.

Amid an influx of trade reports, Porzingis says he would like Anthony to remain with the Knicks.

“I think it would make life harder for me on the court (if Anthony was traded),” Porzingis told the Daily News. “He makes stuff easier for me.”

Anthony and Porzingis have always been gracious with each other, acknowledging that the timing of their partnership unfortunately doesn't align with their primes.

“There’s still a lot more things I want to learn from Melo,” Porzingis told The News. “So I would love to have him around for a long time. I always love playing with Melo.”
