Derrick Rose will miss the rest of the season with a torn meniscus. Rose will undergo surgery and have a six to eight week recovery.

Rose will be a free agent this offseason for the first time in his career.

The New York Knicks acquired Rose from the Chicago Bulls last offseason. Rose finishes the season averaging 18.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 64 games. Rose had a PER of 17.1, which is highest total since his last All-Star season in 11-12 when he had a mark of 23.0.

Rose previously tore his meniscus in 2013.
