The Portland Trail Blazers denied a request from the Atlanta Hawks to interview Neil Olshey for their vacant general manager job.
Olshey became general manager of the Blazers in 2012.
The Hawks are searching for a new GM after Mike Budenholzer stepped down from the job.
Olshey was identified as a primary candidate for the job by the Hawks.
In order for the Blazers to let Olshey out of his contract, they would have to receive draft and/or financial compensation from the Hawks.
