While the Boston Celtics have long been identified as a strong candidate to sign Gordon Hayward away from the Utah Jazz, the Miami Heat will also pursue him in free agency.

The Jazz are as concerned with the ability of Miami to sign Hayward as they are with the Celtics.

Due to the presence of Brad Stevens and a flexible roster, the Celtics can present a compelling case to Hayward.

Miami can offer Hayward the opportunity to play with Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic within their established culture of winning. Hayward can also make more money with Miami than the Celtics since Florida is a no state income tax state.

The Jazz can offer Hayward a five-year, $179.2 million contract if he remains with the Jazz and a four-year, $132.9 million deal with a rival team.
