As much as the Golden State Warriors made sense for Kevin Durant from a basketball perspective, he wanted a new experience and the culture of the franchise looked appealing.

"It's even better than I thought," Durant told Bruce Fraser during preseason.

Durant also told Fraser he didn't even need a title as much as he wanted to win one.

"I came here to have fun," Durant told ESPN.com before Game 4. "I wanted to be one of the guys. Right away, they didn't treat me like I was 'KD,' or act like they wanted me to be a kind of vocal leader. I was happy from Day 1."
