The Los Angeles Lakers do not currently plan on trading any of their young assets in a deal with the Indiana Pacers for Paul George.

George has informed the Pacers he doesn't plan on re-signing with the franchise in 2018. George is widely expected to sign with the Lakers in free agency.

The Lakers have been unable to convince a major free agent to sign with the team since Dwight Howard left in 2013.

Los Angeles appears to be building around a nucleus of Brandon Ingram and whomever they select at No. 2 in the 2017 NBA Draft.
