The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to acquire Dwight Howard from the Atlanta Hawks.

Howard signed with the Hawks during the 2016 offseason on a three-year, $70.5 million deal.

Howard was already frustrated with his role with the Hawks at the end of his first season.

The Hawks hired Travis Schlenk to be general manager this offseason.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Hawks will receive Miles Plumlee, Marco Belinelli and the 41st overall pick for Howard and the 31st pick.
