The Detroit Pistons have rescinded their qualifying offer to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Caldwell-Pope will immediately become an unrestricted free agent. The Brooklyn Nets are expected to pursue Caldwell-Pope if the Washington Wizards match the offer sheet they previously signed Otto Porter to in free agency. The Los Angeles Lakers also have interest in Caldwell-Pope if he takes a one-year deal.

The Pistons and Caldwell-Pope were unable to gain traction on a contract during his restricted free agency. Detroit pivoted to trade Marcus Morris for Avery Bradley.

Caldwell-Pope is represented by Rich Paul.
