The New York Knicks are putting their Carmelo Anthony trade talks on hold as they would like to approach him about reincorporating him into their plans.
The Knicks have informed both the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers that they're leaving the negotiation table on an Anthony trade.
Anthony was willing to waive his no-trade clause to join either team.
Scott Perry, who is likely to be hired as general manager of the Knicks, has pushed Steve Mills to reconsider whether to trade Anthony.
It is unlikely Anthony is going to respond with eagerness about remaining with the Knicks.
Anthony has been fully focused on being traded this offseason.
