The Cleveland Cavaliers will save approximately $29.1 million in luxury tax payments with their trade of Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics.
Cleveland's tax is down from $78.4 million to $49.3 million.
The Cavaliers were able to shed payroll with their deal of Irving for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder and Ante Zizic.
