Stephen Curry sought a no-trade clause and player option on his new five-year, $201 million contract with the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors managed to negotiate with Curry to keep those two aspects out of the contract.

Joe Lacob reportedly wanted to initially offer Curry less than the max before Bob Myers convinced him otherwise. Curry was coming off a four-year, $44 million contract last offseason.

LeBron James has had both a no-trade clause and player options in his contracts since returning to the Cavaliers.
