The ownership of the Atlanta Hawks will interview Lloyd Pierce for their head coaching job.

Pierce could soon receive a job offer if he has a strong meeting with ownership.

Travis Schlenk interviewed Pierce for the job on Friday.

Pierce has been an assistant for 11 years in the NBA, including with Cleveland, Golden State, Memphis and the Sixers.

Atlanta is also considering Stephen Silas and Nate Tibbetts.

Pierce played collegiately at Santa Clara with Steve Nash. Pierce also spent four years at Santa Clara as an assistant coach before joining the NBA.
