The Atlanta Hawks are expected to offer their head coaching position to Lloyd Pierce.

Pierce, currently an assistant coach with the 76ers, traveled to Atlanta on Friday to meet with team officials.

Pierce first met with Travis Schlenk a week ago, and he met with Atlanta majority owner Tony Ressler earlier this week.

The Hawks parted ways with Mike Budenholzer earlier this offseason.

Pierce has been an assistant for 11 years with Cleveland, Golden State, Memphis and Philadelphia.
