While the Miami Heat had some level of interest in trading Hassan Whiteside, they are expected to keep him this offseason.

The Heat have realized that Whiteside's trade value is heavily diminished.

Pat Riley sees the situation with Whiteside as being salvageable.

“I expect a lot of out Hassan, contrary to what people might think about us trading him,” Riley said. “We haven’t offered him to anybody, really, to be honest with you. So you go through an emotional period with a player and you deal with it and you come back and you work things out.”

The Heat signed Whiteside to a four-year, $98 million deal in 2016.
