Marcus Smart is open to signing a multiyear deal for less than $15 million per season.

As a restricted free agent, Smart has not received much interest on the open market.

Smart and the Boston Celtics haven't made progress on a contract.

A source close to Smart said that beyond basic pleasantries, Smart’s camp had no further discussions with the Celtics’ brass on Monday.

Smart was asked where things stood with the Celtics.

“That’s what I want to know,” he said. “I have no clue. I can only control what I can control.”

Smart could ultimately decide to simply sign the Celtics’ one-year, $6 million qualifying offer.
