Glen Taylor has informed rival owners that Jimmy Butler is available in trade talks and that he should be contacted with offers if necessary.

The front office of the Minnesota Timberwolves, however, has told inquiring teams they have no plans of trading Butler.

Butler requested a trade this week.

Taylor was also involved in the trades of Kevin Garnett and Kevin Love.

"The owner's trading him," one board of governors attendee told ESPN on Friday. "That was made clear. It's just a matter of when."

"He basically said, 'If you don't get anywhere with [Scott Layden], and you've got something good, bring it to me," another high-ranking league official told ESPN.
