Anthony Davis is frustrated by the New Orleans Pelicans slump in which they've lost seven of nine games and are in 14th place in the Western Conference.

"We're a better team than our record shows. Everyone is frustrated. Players, coaches, front office. We've just got to do better," Davis said following the Pelicans' loss at Brooklyn.

The Pelicans reached the second round last season and Davis believes they can recapture that form.

"We know what we did last year. We know how good of a team we are this year," Davis said of the Pelicans, who upset the Portland Trail Blazers in a first-round sweep in the 2018 playoffs. "We just got [Payton] back, and then we have Niko out; we can't stay healthy. We still have to go out there and prove it. We just can't feel sorry for ourselves."

The future of Davis with the Pelicans is one of the NBA's most talked about stories. Davis was asked by a reporter if there might be a point in which he might no longer want to play for a team in 14th place in the West.

"I don't. Next question," he said.
