Kemba Walker said he trusts Mitch Kupchak's ability to build a team and will not be involved in roster decisions ahead of his impending free agency.

"That's not my job. I'll leave it up to those guys. We have Mitch now, who's a great guy who's done a great job at building teams over his GM career. And I have a lot of trust in him. So, you know, we talk all the time. Who knows?"

The 28-year-old Walker is averaging a career-high 25.4 points on the season. He would be eligible for a 5-year, $221 million supermax contract if he makes any All-NBA team, wins the MVP, or gets named the Defensive Player of the Year.

Kupchak stated last July that Walker was viewed as a cornerstone of the Hornets moving forward.
