The NBA has cleared the Cleveland Cavaliers of wrongdoing with their contract of Patrick McCaw.

The Golden State Warriors requested the inquiry.

The Cavaliers signed McCaw as a restricted free agent to a two-year, $6 million offer sheet. McCaw was waived by the Cavaliers after three games before his contract was guaranteed.

McCaw later signed with the Toronto Raptors.

The NBA said it found "no violation of the league's collective bargaining agreement, including the anti-circumvention rules."
