A source refuted a report that the New York Knicks prefer Kristaps Porzingis to sit out the entire 18-19 season as he rehabs a torn ACL.

The Knicks reportedly want Porzingis back this season as long as he is mentally and physically ready to play. The Knicks are out of playoff contention.

Porzingis will be a restricted free agent this offseason.

Porzingis did not travel with the Knicks for their trip to London, which could be a sign they are focused on his return this season. Porzingis will be reevaluated in mid-February.
