The Golden State Warriors preferred a wing for their open roster spot, but will instead sign Andrew Bogut.

The Warriors had interest in Wesley Matthews, Jeremy Lin and Wayne Ellington, but all three chose bigger roles with other teams.

Garrett Temple and Justin Holiday were two additional targets, but they weren't bought out.

Matthews likely was the No. 1 choice for the Warriors, but he was offered a starting role on the Indiana Pacers.

The Warriors also preferred Robin Lopez, but the Chicago Bulls didn't grant him a buyout.
