Monty McCutchen, the NBA chief of referees, said that his crew missed a key offensive foul on Paul George during Oklahoma City's win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The play in question took place with the game tied with under a minute in the 4th quarter. George drove to the hoop and seemingly elbowed Jusuf Nurkic on the play. The Thunder scored off the ensuing offensive rebound.

"I think that he's fighting through some tight traffic. His hand comes up off the ball, catches Jusuf in the face. I think it should have been an offensive foul. I don't think it's flagrant myself," said McCutchen.

The NBA has experimented with adding a 4th ref during G League games, although accuracy rates are similar to 3 referee crews.
